Perinatal Substance Use Disorders Training

September 25, 2026 | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (CT)

📍 National Corvette Museum
350 Corvette Dr, Bowling Green, KY 42101

Hosted in partnership with Postpartum Support International (PSI)
Sponsored by KyCOMPASS

About the Training

Perinatal substance use is more common than many providers realize—even among clients already in care. Substance misuse is often a coping strategy for underlying mental health conditions, and nationwide, suicide and accidental overdose remain leading causes of maternal mortality.

Despite this, many maternal and child health professionals feel underprepared to support pregnant and parenting individuals experiencing substance use challenges.

This one-day, 6-hour advanced training is designed to bridge that gap by strengthening provider knowledge, confidence, and practical skills. It also meets the advanced prerequisite requirement for the PMH-C exam application.

Faculty

  • Camila Arnaudo, MD
  • Jacqueline Tynan, PsyD
